Mark Anderson

Artist’s Bio

Born in Canada, Mark Anderson grew up in Europe where he was greatly influenced by art and architecture, particularly of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.

He holds degrees in Fine Arts from York University and the
University of Victoria, in addition to studies at the National Theatre School of Canada and La Cambre, the national school of visual arts in Brussels, Belgium. Mark is also an accomplished scenic painter and set designer, and his work for the theatre has been exhibited twice internationally at the Prague Quadrenniale.

About two years ago, he put brush to silk for the first time and discovered the wondrous magic offered to the artist painting on this most ethereal of all fabrics.

Mark now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
