Artist’s Bio

Catherine Kluthe completed her formal training with a diploma in Art and Design at Red Deer College and a Visual Communications diploma at the Alberta College of Art, and began her career working in the advertising field. 

She then traveled to China and studied traditional Chinese painting at the internationally recognized Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. After working in Hong Kong as an Art Director, she returned to Canada to work as a designer with a well-known merchandising company. She then started her own Christmas designs. 

Catherine finds it exciting and a challenge to work with, and combine many different mediums, which include wood textiles, wire glass and handmade paper.
