Barakso Lindsay
Artist’s Bio
Ilona Barakso Lindsay has
studied glass at the Alberta College of Art
& Design, the Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI), the Pratt Fine
Art Centre, Red Deer College, Penland School of Craft and Pilchuck
Glass School.
She was a partner in Andrighetti Glassworks in Vancouver, BC for a
number of years and also resided in California where she was a
volunteer glassblower for San Jose State University and BAGI.
She coordinated the MADE IN CALIFORNIA: Glass from the Golden State
exhibition in the Oakland Museum Café for BAGI in 2006.
In 2007, Ilona returned to Canada and she now resides in North
Vancouver where she continues to work in glass and precious metals as
well as teaching glassblowing.
Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States and Taiwan.
