Artist’s Bio
“I work with glass
because its nature is contrary. Solid one
moment, fluid the next, glass is strong yet brittle. Refracting or
reflecting light, textured or smooth. These things draw me to work with
glass in all of its many forms.”
Caroline Shuttle started her journey with glass in 1996 with a glass
blowing course at Haliburton School of Fine Arts in Ontario. Further
courses in the glass arts followed.
Caroline has had four solo shows and has been part of many group
exhibitions. She also works in stained glass and her studio is located
in Bloomfield, Ontario.
The piece you have purchased has been fused and slumped. All pieces are
functional and it is advised that they be hand washed.
