Adam
Russcher
Artist’s Bio
Adam began
his career in metal in 2003. He focused on short courses in
blacksmithing, jewellery design and silversmithing in Vancouver,
Nelson, California and Mexico.
His two year experience as a volunteer welding and fabricating large
bronze statues at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in California added
depth to his creative drive and opened a deeper love for moving and
dancing with the metal.
Adam finds that shaping and forming metal, closely relates to the
process of meditation, taking unrefined, rough material and with skill
and patience moving forward to bring out an ever finer and subtler
finish.
His Gypsy Rose series is his newest work and honours his love of nature
with its simple yet intricate designs.
