Artists' Bios

Jo-Anne was born in Vancouver and grew up in the Kerrisdale and Oakridge area. She now lives in Lake Errock, BC. where she is presently building a Straw Bale Studio.

She has been an artist for over 30 years and her work covers a variety of mediums from spinning and weaving to raku pottery, sculpture, stained and fused glass and sandblasting. Each piece is unique.

The kilnworking technique involves taking two pieces of flat glass and firing them together for 10 hours at 1450 degrees F. The resulting single piece is placed in a mold and fired again to 1250 degrees F, thereby slumping into the mold. 

Jo-Anne inspiration comes from her garden.
