Artist’s
Bio
David has a whimsical approach to life and his work. He has worked as a printer, driver, set designer, costume designer, art restorer, and house painter.
His unique birds evolved from a happy mistake made while fabricating the chicken wire base for a papermache hen. Preferring the gestural quality of the armature, David’s creative powers took over and he now makes robins, crows, sparrows, seagulls, stellar jays, blue herons, roosters, hummingbirds – and any bird you can suggest to him…
David studied art in Toronto at Art's Sake and in 1998, at the Capilano College Sculpture Institute Program under George Rammell.
