ANNE FULTON
Artist’s
Bio
Anne is a fibre artist. Annie's love affair with fibre began at the age of seven, when her Mother, an accomplished knitter, sat her down with a ball of wool and a pair of needles and gave her the gift of knitting. By the age of twelve, Annie was knitting Aran sweaters. By sixteen, creating her own designs.
In her late twenties, desiring to expand the creative process, Annie took up handspinning. The next three decades were spent exploring colour and texture, and maturing as an artist.
Annie's fifties brought Felt, and a whole new love affair has begun. There is a freedom with felt that appeals to the artist within. Annie combines felting with beadwork to create beautiful one of a kind hats, bags, and scarves. Working with felting needles, she sculpts fleece into wonderful, whimsical figures.
Annie lives in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver island, where she works as well as teaches from her home.
