Crafthouse YVR will open mid-October
Crafthouse YVR will be supplied by juried CCBC members, and operated by Hudson News Group, an experienced airport retailer. Crafthouse YVR is located in the Vancouver International Airport’s pre-security Domestic Terminal. The airport is creating an observation area and hopes to make it a destination, not just for travelers, but for local residents as well.
The store is located in an area, which will fall under the specialized ‘Spirit of BC’ focus, and we will sell beautiful handmade work to travelers and locals alike. The Canada Line high-speed rail system is operational, so it will be easy and quick to get to the airport.
The initial intake for Crafthouse YVR is closed. The next jury program will run in the fall of 2009. It will be an online procurement jury. We are working on developing an online system for new applications.
