Crafthouse
is a charitiable social enterprise program of the Craft Council of British Columbia.

To sell craft through the Council, artists are required to pass two juries. The Standards of Quality Jury (SOQ) is a hands-on jury that assesses the craftsmanship and technique of an artist's body of work. Once passing the the SOQ artists are invited to submit the product lines they wish to sell to the online Procurement Jury, which assesses the salabilty of work for the two retail locations.

Standards of Quality Jury

Craft Council of BC
Next Date: July 15, 2013
Location: Craft Council Offices

All artists wanting to sell their work through one of the Council's retail outlets needs to first pass the Standards of Quality Jury. Please review the Council's Standards of Quality prior to submitting your work - a copy can be obtained here.

A checklist for submitting your work to the SOQ jury can be obtained here. After reading this information please notify us by June 15th if you are intending to participate by emailing soq@craftcouncilbc.ca.

To submit the documentation required by July 1st please go to this link to fill out the form and upload the required documents.

Crafthouse Procurement Jury

This online process is built to capture and retain the basic information about the artist, so they won’t have to re-enter that information each time they submit a product for review. Artists can also submit as many products as they wish (one at a time or over time), whenever they wish.

The Jury portion of the system allows for jury members from across the province to jury products as they come available. This opens up our process to the whole membership not just those that live in the lower mainland.

For more detailed instructions on the system please click here.

To use the system please select "Online Submission System" in the left hand menu.
